This notice explains what information the TTECH Digital website may collect, why it is used, who it may be shared with and how to contact us about your rights.

Overview

TTECH Digital (“TTECH”, “we”, “our” or “us”) values the privacy of people and organisations using ttech.co.za. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit the website, request a quotation, check a domain name, enquire about registration, or communicate with us.

We aim to process personal information lawfully, reasonably and transparently in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and other applicable laws. This notice covers the public-facing TTECH Digital website; individual client projects may also be governed by a service agreement or an additional privacy notice.

Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:

  • Enquiry details: name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number, requested service, domain name and the project information you choose to submit.
  • Communications: messages, quotations, support enquiries and correspondence you exchange with us.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, browser and device information, timestamps and security-related request records where processed by the website or hosting environment.
  • Website usage information: aggregated or event-based analytics about page visits and interactions if analytics functionality is enabled.
  • Client service information: billing, service and domain registrant information where needed to deliver an agreed service.

Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information through the public enquiry form.

How we use information

We process information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, communicate about prospective projects, check requested domain names, assist with domain registration requests, provide contracted services and support, keep appropriate business records, maintain service security and investigate suspected abuse.

Where enabled, website measurement helps us understand site performance and improve the experience. We do not need your contact-form message to be included in analytics events.

We process personal information only where an appropriate lawful justification applies under POPIA, which may include carrying out a request or agreement, complying with a legal obligation, pursuing a legitimate interest where permitted, or relying on consent where required.

Domain checks and registration

A domain availability check may send the domain name entered to our domain service provider or registrar systems to obtain an availability result. This does not itself register or reserve the domain.

If you request assistance with registration, additional registrant information may be required under applicable registry or registrar rules. We will explain what is needed in connection with the requested service.

Cookies and analytics

The website or hosting environment may use technically necessary browser storage, cookies or session-related mechanisms for security, abuse prevention and site operation. If Google Analytics 4 or another measurement service is enabled, it may use cookies or related technologies and process website interaction data under that provider’s terms.

You can adjust browser privacy or cookie settings. Blocking essential browser capabilities may affect site functions. Where consent or an additional notice is required for a particular tracking technology, we will implement it before using that technology for the relevant purpose.

Sharing and service providers

We may disclose information to vetted service providers as reasonably needed to operate the website and deliver the service you request, such as website hosting providers, email or IT providers, domain registrars and resellers, and analytics providers where configured. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, public authorities or other parties where required or permitted by law.

We do not sell submitted enquiry details as a product. Where providers process information for us, we seek appropriate contractual and technical protections. Domain registries may process registrant information under their own applicable policies.

Cross-border processing

Some hosting, email, analytics or domain-related services may involve processing outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take steps to comply with applicable POPIA conditions for cross-border transfers.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, to support client relationships or to meet legal, contractual, dispute-resolution or accounting obligations. Retention periods vary by record type, after which information is securely deleted, de-identified or otherwise disposed of as appropriate.

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure. No internet transmission or storage solution can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of whether we hold your personal information, request access, ask for corrections or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or ask us to stop direct marketing.

To make a request, email info@ttech.co.za with “POPIA Privacy Request” in the subject. We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before acting on a request.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.

Updates and contact

We may revise this policy as our website, services and legal obligations change. The date shown at the top indicates the latest revision published here.

For privacy-related enquiries or requests, contact info@ttech.co.za or call 087 822 1192. The website is https://ttech.co.za/.
